Sonya Walker

MISS SONYA WALKER, 48 of INDIAN TRAIL, NC passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, 1001 Adams St., Monroe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Walker, Jones  and extended families.

Ms. Sonya Walker , was born on July 11, 1973 in Yonkers, New York, to the late Clement Harold "Sunny: and Bessie Mae Jones Walker.

Sonya graduated from Monroe High School, where she then continued in the Health Care Field.  Nobody was a stranger to Sonya .  Se was so caring and loving.  She enjoyed getting her nails done and visiting the beach.

Sonya enjoyed putting a smile on everyone's face and making them laugh.  She was such a vibe to be around. Sonya loved listening to music and spending time with her family.  You know it didn't take much to please her.

Sonya was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eric Walker.

Sonya leaves to cherish her most precious memories with her daughter, Nalaysia Walker (Darius); her son, Drezden Crowder; her grandchildren, Darius Jr., Nova and Prince; her sister, Tomekia Walker Maske  (Richard); her brother, Clement Leon Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
