Stacie Lashun (Cheek) Clyburn

MRS. STACIE LASHUN CHEEK CLYBURN,  43 of STAR, NC passed away Sunday January 31, 2021 at Firsthealth / Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Lewis - Liles Cemetery, 215 McCaskill Rd., Biscoe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2021 at  Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC, which serving the Clyburn, Cheek and extended families.

Stacie Lashun Cheek Clyburn , a daughter of Vernon Cuthrell and Betty Cheek Chappell, was born on Thursday, January 26, 1978, in Montgomery County, NC.  She exchanged  time for eternity on Sunday, January 31, 2021,  in the Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC,

Shun, as she was fondly called by family and friends, gave her life to thr Lord in 2017.  She was a faithful worker and served diligently in the church.

Stacie was educaded in  the Montgomery County Public Schools, where dhe was a graduate of at West Montgomery High School Class of 1996.  After high school, she continued her education and graduated from Montgomery Community College, Troy, NC.

She was employed with the Montgomery County Head Start until it was discontinued.  She was employed by the Montgomery County School System.until her health declined.  She will be sorely missed as she touched many of her co-workers, students, family and dear friends.

Shun was preceded in death by her special granddmother who raised her, Mrs. Barbara Ann Cheek.

She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her loving husbandm Wayne Clyburn Jr., of the home; five children, Daishun Gaddy, Tanija Clyburn, Lashun Clyburn, Aniyah Clyburn and Christopher Clyburn;  step-children, Kera  Clyburn, Sherrod Clyburn , Dymond Clyburn; mother and father, Betty Chappell and Vernon Cuthrell, both of Florida; siblinngs, Lakisha Butler (Darry) of Rockingham, NC, Vernon Legrande and Eugene Legrande, both of Asheboro, NC,  Claudette Cuthrell of Mt. Gilead ,NC, Lakeasha Taylor, Chauncey Taylor, Victoria Taylor, Vernon Cheek Gionna Cheek, Vertis Clyburn, Rosheen Cuthrell (Erica) and Teleshia Cuthrell, all of Florida; aunts, Lisa Little of Troy, NC, Carolyn Cheek of Candor, NC, Rebecca Bowden and Betty Cuthrell, both of Mt. Gilead, NC, Dorothy Cuthrell of Asheboro, NC and Lillie Mae Holden (Jimmy) of Raleigh, NC; special great-aunt, Doreen Armstrong of Candor, NC; uncles, Buster Cheek of Biscoe, NC, George Cheek, Jr,, of Mt. Gilead, NC, Jerry Cheek of Rockingham, NCand George Cuthrell of Mt.
