Virginia Lee "Sarah" Brown

MS VIRGINIA LEE "Sarah" BROWN, 67, of WINGATE, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at CHS Northeast in Concord, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Sunday, April 17, 2016, at God's Word Only Ministry, 4412 Highway 74 East, Wingate, NC.

Interment will follow in the Christian Mission Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Monroe, NC

A public viewing will be held 1:00pm to 7:00pm  Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born onThursday, May 20, 1948 in Anson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Rosa Lee Brown.  "Sarah", as she was known by family and friends, attended the public schools of Anson County, North Carolina.  She was a member of Christian Mission Missionary Baptist Church of Monroe, NC, where she served as an Usher and Choir Member until her health began to fail her. She was preceded in death by her mother; Rosa Brown and a sister; Mable Ruth Brown Knotts.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her niece and caregiver, Barbara Knotts,and  great-neices; Chastity, Herbian and Akeiba McNeely all of the home; two children whom she raised, Romiya Trull and Corderius Allen, Jr. of Wingate, NC; four sisters,  Brenda Gaddy of Charlotte, NC, Terry Henry (Romans), Frances Staton and Lydia Sharper, all of Wadesboro, NC;  four brothers,  Johnny Brown, Jack Brown, Zedeck Brown and Floyd Brown, all of Wadesboro, NC; three aunts, two uncles, a special friend whom she rode to church with for seven years, Ruby Covington and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
