Walter Lee (Ace) Gould, Jr.

MR. WALTER LEE " ACE"  GOULD, Jr., 72, of MT. GILEAD, NC passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at his home.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2019, at Family Worship Ministries, 401 Troy-Candor Road, Troy, NC 27371.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations, MT. Gilead, NC, who is serving the Gould and extended Families.

Ace was born on Sunday, October 13, 1946, to the late Walter Lee Gould, Sr., and Viola McRae Gould, in the Mangrum Community of Mt. Gilead, NC.

He attended Rosenwald Elementary School and Mineral Springs High School, from which he graduated.  He attended A&T University, Greensboro, where he pursued a career in Human Services.  He was formerly employed with the High Point Housing Authority, High Point, NC and Samarkand Youth Developement Center, Eagle Springs.

Walter grew up in the Mt. Airy AME Zion Church, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a member.  He later affiliated himself with Family Worship Ministries in Troy, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert "Bo" Gould, and a son, Jermaine Roach.

Walter will be sorely missed by his wife, Dorothy Little Gould of the home; a daughter, Tanisha Gould of High Point, NC; sons, Joseph Bogan of High Point, NC, Marvin Roach(Erica) of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Nicole Roach of Columbia, SC; close cousin, Jacqueline Autry of Mt. Gilead, NC; two uncles, Phillip Gould of Mt. Gilead, NC and Reuben Gould of NY; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew, three sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, and a host of cousins and many friends.
