Walter Lee Hill

MR. WALTER LEE HILL, 69 of TROY, NC passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021, at his home.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Bruton Cemetery, 142 Bruton Cemetery Rd.,   (Wadeville Community)  MT. Gilead, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held  2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, June 4, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC.

Mr. Walter Lee Hill, a son of the late Fee Oliver Hill, Sr., and Bernice Martin Hill, was born on Friday, October 19, 1951 in Montgomery County, NC.

Walt attended Peabody High School in Troy, NC. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at an early age at Clark's Grove Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Capel's Rug Outlet in Troy, NC for several years.  He was known for helping others.

Walt was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ernest Lee, John Frank,  Fee, Jr., and Bernie Hill; one son, Rodney Armstrong and a grandson, Daquan Williams and a daughter, LaShawn Williams.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Elaine Armstrong Williams;  one son, Walter Lamont Williams; two daughters, Tammy Thomas Ferguson (Adaryl) and Crystal Elaine Williams; five sisters, Arniece Hill of Mt. Gilead, NC, Edna Mae Hill of Troy, NC, Verline Hill of Concord, NC, Essie Harrison of Newark, NJ and Helen Hill of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Eugene Hill (Santine) of Albemarle, NC, Edward Hill (Tabitha) of Mt. Gilead, NC and Freddie Hill (Pauline) of Troy, NC; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Hill and Rose Ann Hill; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
