Wanda (Funderburk) Westfield

MRS. WANDA FUNDERBURK WESTFIELD, 68 of MONROE, NC passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Eastside Community Cemetery, 500 Cureton St., Waxhaw, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing  when  entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held  2:00 pm to 6:00 pm  Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Ms. Wanda S. Westfield of Monroe, North Carolina, was born on Saturday, April 25, 1953, in Union County,  North Carolina, to the late James B. Funderburk. Sr., and Velvie Baker Funderburk.   She departed this earlthly life on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Atrium Health/ Union, Monroe, North Carolina.

Wanda was educated at the Western Union Elementary School and received her GED at the Career  Center in Monroe, North Carolina.  Wanda later  graduated from  South Piedmont Community College with  a CNA Degree and was employed with Neighborhood Nursing in Indian Trail, NC.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, James B. Funderburk and Velvie Baker Funderburk; daughter, Thomas'a OLivia Westfield; son, Arsenio Westfield; brothers, John E. Baker, James B. Funderburk, Jr., Sammie L. Funderburk; one sister, Rachel Funderburk.

Wanda leaves to cherish loving and fond memories, to one son,  Zechariah Westfied; three brothers, Joe Baker (Faye) of Charlotte, NC, Freddie Funderburk of Waxhaw, NC, and Mickey Funderburk of Monroe, NC, one sisterm Martha Houser of Monroe, NC, two grandsons, Mykell Westfield,  and Malakhai Westfield, both of Atlanta, GA, and a  host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
