MR. WILLIAM ANDREW "BOB" RUSHING, 78 of MONROE, NC passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Monroe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm  Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.

(Due to COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a face mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

At the request of the family they will not be receiving guest at the home due to the  COVID 19 Pandemic.

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Mr. William Andrew "Bob" Rushing, was born on Wednesday, March 10, 1943, to the late James and Avis Rushing in Union County, NC.  He exchanged time for eternity on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in the Monroe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Monroe, NC.

"Bob" as he was fondly called by family and friends was a Roofer by trade.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Baker Rushing.

"Bob" leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his children, four sons, William "Buzzy" Rushing (Hattie), Johnny Rushing (Sheila), Freddie Rushing (Connie) and Robert "Hot Shot" Rushing (Sandra), all of Monroe, NC  and one daughter, Santaya "Sandy" Rushing of Charlotte, NC,  and a host of grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
