MR. WILLIE JUNIOR PASCHALL, 96 of CHARLOTTE, NC passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Atrium Health / Pineville, Charlotte, NC.
Military Honors and Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC.
(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service are required to wear a face mask or facial covering.)
There will be no public viewing Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC is serving the Paschall family.
Willie was born on Thursday, February 12, 1925 to the late Will and Fannie Paschall in Wilke County, Washington, GA. He passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Atrium Health/Pineville Charlotte, NC and was one of 15 children.
He was educated in the Washington, GA, public schools and reared in a Christian home.
At a young age, Willie worked with his family on a plantation until he was drafted for WWII. After serving our country in the United States Army, Willie moved to New York, where he met and married, Elnora Fisher (deceased). Willie worked at Northrop Grumman (NY) first as a chef and later promoted to an airplane assembler. Sometime later, Willie went on to own and operate Bill Taxi Company and afterwards owned and operated B&B Transportation.
Willie attended Mother Lewis Baptist Chuerch, and was a dedicated father and enjoyed socializing with his nieces, nephews and friends. He was always laughing with his warm and friendly smile. He wasn't a stranger to anyone and everyone he met was greeted as if they were already known by him. A real people person indeed.
Willie was a member of several organizations including; the Hnter Squire Jackson American Legion Veteran Post #1218, Amityville, NY., Also the King Solomon Masonic Lodge, Wyandanch, NY.
Years later he met Ann Brown and to this union four (4) children were born and together they reared her three children from a prior relationship.
Willie and Ann moved their family to Virginia Beach where they lived for several years before they separated. He eventually moved in with his daughter and family in Charlotte, NC until the Lord called him home on July 21, 2021.
Preceding him in death were his siblings and their spouses; Curly Paschall, James Paschall, Julius Paschall, Earline (Paschall) Ware, Douglas Paschall, Emma Paschall Tutt, L. E. Paschall, Edgar Paschall, Mary Lou Paschall, Johnnie Paschall, Fannie Ruth Paschall, Patricia Paschall Booker and Ola Bell Paschall.
Left to cherish his memories are his long time partner, Ann Brown; the children, Renee (Paschall Simmons (Craig), Jacinda Paschall Isaac, William Paschall, Willie Martin Paschall; sister, Catherine Paschall Baker; sister-in-law, Janice Paschall (Johnnie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
