Willis Lee Medley

MR. WILLIS LEE  "Slim" MEDLEY, 59 of MONROE, NC passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 501 P.E. Bazemore Dr., Monroe, NC 28110.  Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville, NC.  A public viewing will be held 1pm to 7pm Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Sunday, August 19, 1956 in Union County, NC a son the late Jasper Lee and Rosa Mae Deese Medley.  He was employed by Monroe Print Company and a Carpet Installer also served six years in the US Army National Gaurd.  Preceding him in death were his parents, a son; Ray Rorie, brother; James Earl Medley, sister; Joy Colston and his special aunt; Willie Mae Broadway.

Willis leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his loving wife; Ingrid Carelock Medley, his children; Shawn Byrd, Michelle Polk, Tameka Marsh, Jennifer Carelock, Tony Marsh (Tasha) and Yaronda Covington.  Willis was very close to his loving and devoted brothers and sisters, Rose Medley (Lester), Janette Horn, Judy Medley, Linda Johnson, Sara Manns, Marvin, Earnest (Cherly) and Bobby Rorie (Annie). He loved and care very deeply for them and a brother and sister-in-law James Kirtland (Wanda) and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandaughter; Harmony Massey and special nephews; Patrick and Mandrill Allen.
